Spend your Sunday afternoons immersed in arts and music at the UTRGV Concert Series at IMAS, a special series of performances by faculty and students from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Music. Ranging from the romantics to the contemporary with piano, cello, jazz, voice and percussion, these community concerts are immersed in the fine art galleries of the International Music of Art and Science and great for the whole family.
On November 16, visitors can enjoy the UTRGV Opera Theatre: Masquerades, Marriage, and Mischief. The Romantic Cello: Janacek, Jessie Montgomery, and Rachmaninoff will be presented on December 14. UTRGV faculty pianist Dr. Brendan Kinsella and guest artist Dr. Daniel Saenz performs a soulful afternoon of music for violoncello and piano. From Janacek’s dreamy and imaginative “Fairy Tale” to Rachmaninoff”s thrilling Sonata for Violoncello and Piano, this recital is sure to delight and inspire.
The McAllen Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce the exciting 2025-2026 Broadway in the Rio Grande Valley. The season started in September with The Addams Family. There are four remaining shows for the season.
Harlingen Community Theatre (HCT) is where Valley stars shine. After celebrating 50 years of highlighting Valley talent last season, they will continue to showcase the talent the Valley has to offer with this season shows.
The McAllen Wind Ensemble proudly opens its 2025–2026 concert season with “Duty, Honor, Country,” a powerful evening dedicated to the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who defend our freedom. The concert will take place on Tuesday, November 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center.
The Valley Symphony Orchestra (VSO) proudly announces the official start of the 2025-26 Masterworks Season, a milestone year marking esteemed Music Director and Conductor Maestro Peter Dabrowski’s 25th year leading the orchestra. The season opens Friday, November 7 at 8 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center with Music of the Greats, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Gabriela Martinez in a program of timeless works by Mozart, Sibelius, and Hindemith.
