Get ready to step into a world of fairytale fun as Harlingen Community Theatre brings Shrek the Musical to the stage. Based on the beloved DreamWorks story, this hilarious and heartwarming show features book and lyrics by David LindsayAbaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.
Performances will run February 27 and 28 and March 1, 6, 7, and 8 at the theatre located at 1209 Fair Park Blvd. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children under 18. Seats may be purchased online or at the door, pending availability.

The venue has seating for 270 patrons, with two extra slots for patrons in a wheelchair. They also have designated handicapped seating. Performances are open seating – but there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
They are a non-profit community theatre company. They produce four to five Broadway quality musicals or plays per year. The cast members are all local talent from the RGV. They hold auditions for each show, and the cast includes children, teens, and adults. There are also opportunities for volunteers to work behind the scenes.
