Edinburg, TX - The City of Edinburg, in partnership with UTRGV Dance and the Edinburg Arts Foundation, will host the contemporary dance concert RADICLE: The First Seed to Sprout at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events (ACE) Center. The performances will take place on Thursday, July 16, and Friday, July 17, 2026. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

RADICLE features two original contemporary dance works created by UTRGV Assistant Professors of Dance, Rebeca Gamborino and Gina Laurenzi. Emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration and live music, the production brings together composers, local artists, and guest dancers. Together, the choreographers have developed a dynamic and intriguing program specifically designed for the Rio Grande Valley community.

The concert explores the deep, unseen connections between plant and familial roots. Much like contemporary art, the performance embraces the beauty of the unknown, intentionally weaving an intriguing mystery that invites audiences to look beneath the surface and discover their own meaning within the movement. Proceeds from this collaborative event will directly benefit the UTRGV Dance program and future ACE Center programming.

The concert will take place on Thursday, July 16, and Friday, July 17. General admission I $10 plus tax. Children ages five and under are free.

Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.edinburgarts.com/radicle by calling (956) 388-8224, or in person at the Edinburg ACE Center front lobby.

This production is another premier program organized by the Edinburg Cultural Arts Department and hosted by the City of Edinburg. For more information, community members can visit the ACE Center at 315 W. McIntyre St., call (956) 388-8224, email arts@cityofedinburg.com, or visit edinburgarts.com.
