The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Showgrounds are going to be full of animals and people beginning tomorrow as the event celebrates its 83rd year. The event will feature its senior discount day on Wednesday, March 16.
Come enjoy the live outdoor concert with the Mariachi Margaritas at Quinta Mazatlán. Get a feel of South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley with the cultural sounds of mariachi music. The second concert of the Music in the Park 2022 series will feature traditional songs from the all-female mariachi group from Brownsville, the Mariachi Margaritas, on Thursday March 10th from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

As we closed out our 11th Annual Valley Star Awards show, we found ourselves at a crossroads that we come to from time to time when we decide it is time to honor someone for their special contributions to the Wintertainers and the Winter Texans they come to entertain.
Back by popular demand, the Harlingen Community Theatre (HCT) will hold a reprise performance of The Marvelous Wonderettes. The reprise performances will be held for one last weekend, March 4-6.
The Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas invites you to their 52nd Annual NDE DAA (Spring) Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas Homecoming Pow Wow on Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Alton Recreation Center, 349 Dawes Ave. in Alton. A Badger Run and Ceremony will be held prior to the event at 7:30 a.m. Dancing and presentations will be held throughout the day. The event is free.
