Harlingen Community Theatre presents Always … Patsy Cline. Showings begin on December 9 and run through December 17. The production features live music.
The musical play, complete with downtown humor, according to Ted Swindley productions, has true emotion and even some audience participation. It includes many of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams, and Walking After Midnight. There are a total of 27 songs that will be featured. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letter to Seger.
There was a slight nip in the air when the South Pole Illuminated Festival kicked off.
Pioneer High School in Mission is inviting Winter Texans to see their production of Sweeney Todd. They have several showings next month.
Leslie Blasing put on a great show with great music at Llano Grande last week for a winter season kick off event last week. There was a lot of fun had by all in attendance. The dance floor was packed most of the afternoon as well. 
McAllen Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce the national tour of Come From Away, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its McAllen debut at McAllen Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement on March 17, 2024. The McAllen Wind Ensemble is celebrating 50 years of bringing music to Valley communities. Roger Olivarez, who has been conducting the ensemble for 10 years, says this is a testament to the community’s love of music and to the commitment of the musicians as well.
