Through March 31 – IMAS will host the exhibit Ancient Landscapes of South Texas: Hiding in Plain Sight which illuminates the unique landscape and helps curious minds to understand the natural processes that formed south Texas. The museum is located at 1900 W. Nolana Ave. in McAllen.

Through April 28 – The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) will be hosting México: Crisis and Uprising, an exhibition that brings together the diverse voices of 34 independent artists from the North of Mexico. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Regular admission is $5 with discounted $3 for children ages 4-12, students with an ID and senior citizens 65+. Through June 9 – Presenting over 20 textiles from the museum’s personal collection, costume donations from local Brownsville residents, Fiesta y Cultural is an introduction to the traditional and culturally significant Charro Days celebration. Showcasing the cultural heritage of the region, the exhibit at Costumes of the Americans Museum in Brownsville, uses historic photographs and textiles to transport visitors back in time and immerse them in the cultural experiences of the past. Fiesta y Cultural is an opportunity to learn about traditions, clothing, and celebration that has been cherished for years and continues to be a source of pride for the Brownsville community. The museum is located at 1004 E. 6th St.

February 29-March 3 – The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce will host their 55th Annual Fiesta Edinburg. The event offers four days of vibrant fun with live music, carnival games, and family entertainment. For more information, call (956) 383-4974 or visit edinburg.com/fiesta-edinburg/.

February 29 – Bentsen State Park will host their Wild Wellness Program at 8:30 a.m. Call ahead to confirm schedule at (956) 584-9156. The park is located at 2800 S. Bentsen Palm Dr. in Mission.

March 1 – The annual Winter Texan Fiesta, presented by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and sponsors Mission Regional Medical Center and Winter Texan Times, will be at the Leo Pena Placita Park in Downtown Mission (803 N. Conway) on Friday, March 1 from 12 to 4 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. There will be a free lunch for the first 1,000 attendees, so you’ll want to be sure you are there by 11 a.m. to receive a free meal ticket before they run out. This year’s Winter Texan Fiesta concert entertainment will be provided by The Night Howlers, Curt James, Bruce Boudreau, and Mission CISD Mariachi and Folklorico.

March 1 – Mariachi Concert featuring Jonathan Palomar performing at UTRGV Performing Arts Complex in Edinburg. Tickets are $10. Show starts at 7 p.m.

March 1 – La Frontera International Piano Conference will be held. This year’s theme is Women at the Piano: A Celebration of Piano Music by Women Composers. Join in for an evening of unforgettable performances at 7 p.m. at the TSC Performing Arts Center in Brownsville. Admission is free.

March 1-3 – The Harlingen Community Theatre, located at 1209 Fair Park Boulevard, presents the beloved Fiddler on the Roof. Performances are presented on Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Adults $25. Tickets are sold at the Box Office on performance days: Friday and Saturday starting at 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. HCT has open seating and offers handicap accessibility. March 1-3 – The Tower Theater, 120 S. Kansas Ave., is thrilled to unveil its latest production: the electrifying murder mystery comedy, "The Bold, The Young and The Murdered." Tickets for this extraordinary event are available for purchase at www.weslacotower.org. General admission is $15, and reserved seats are $20. Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

March 2 – The Brownsville Farmers Market will be held at 9 a.m. at Linear Park, E. 6th St. and E. Ringgold St. The event is held every Saturday.

March 2 – Firemen’s Park in McAllen will host the Growing Growers Farmers Market at 9 a.m. The park is located at 201 N. 1st St. The event is held every Saturday.

March 2 – Experience the gentle flow and graceful movements of Tai Chi at Quinta Mazatlan from 9 to 10 a.m. Quinta Mazatlan is located at 600 Sunset Dr. McAllen. Entrance is free for event.
