Through February 24 – The Hidalgo Watercolor Society presents “Water Works.” At the Upper Valley Art League. The Upper Valley Art League Gallery, 921 E. 12th St, Mission. UVAL Gallery hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The UVAL Gallery is free and open to the public. (956) 591-0282.

Through February 25 – The PSJA ISD Buell Central Discipline Alternative Education Program students’ artwork, Screen It: Youth Identity through Art, will be featured at IMAS. The museum is located at 1900 W. Nolana Ave. in McAllen.

Through March 31 – IMAS will host the exhibit Ancient Landscapes of South Texas: Hiding in Plain Sight which illuminates the unique landscape and helps curious minds to understand the natural processes that formed south Texas. The museum is located at 1900 W. Nolana Ave. in McAllen.

Through April 28 – The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) will be hosting México: Crisis and Uprising, an exhibition that brings together the diverse voices of 34 independent artists from the North of Mexico. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Regular admission is $5 with discounted $3 for children ages 4-12, students with an ID and senior citizens 65+. Through June 9 – Presenting over 20 textiles from the museum’s personal collection, costume donations from local Brownsville residents, Fiesta y Cultural is an introduction to the traditional and culturally significant Charro Days celebration. Showcasing the cultural heritage of the region, the exhibit at Costumes of the Americans Museum in Brownsville, uses historic photographs and textiles to transport visitors back in time and immerse them in the cultural experiences of the past. Fiesta y Cultural is an opportunity to learn about traditions, clothing, and celebration that has been cherished for years and continues to be a source of pride for the Brownsville community. The museum is located at 1004 E. 6th St.

February 22, 24, & 25 – STC Theater and Dance brings The Little Prince to the stage. Tickets are $5. For more information, visit southtexascollege.edu/go/theatre. Performances are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (22) and Saturday (24), 2 p.m. on Saturday (24) and Sunday (25). February 22 performance will be interpreted in ASL. All productions will be held at STC’s Cooper Center for Performing Arts, located at 3200 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen.

February 23, 24, 25 – SPI Market Days will be held at the SPI Convention Center, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be vendors, food, and fun. Admission is $1. Visit www.spimarketdays.com for more information.

February 23 – The owner of Val’s Kountry Corral will have a book signing for her newly released book, Julia and Peter, from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be refreshments and she will do a reading. The park is located at 307 S. Bentsen Palm Dr. in Mission.

February 23 – The Historic Brownsville Museum will host Historical Happy Hour: Viva Charro Days from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $15 when you RSVP, $20 at the door. RSVP by calling (956) 548-1313. Learn about the history of Charro Days and Brownsville. The museum is located at 541 E. Madison St.

February 23 – The Valley Symphony Orchestra presents the concert Lyrical Legends features the VSO’s Assistant Principal cellist Patrick Hopkins performing “Variations on a Rococo Theme,” as well as family-friendly selections including “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. February 24 – The Brownsville Farmers Market will be held at 9 a.m. at Linear Park, E. 6th St. and E. Ringgold St. The event is held every Saturday.

February 24 – Firemen’s Park in McAllen will host the Growing Growers Farmers Market at 9 a.m. The park is located at 201 N. 1st St. The event is held every Saturday.

February 24 – The McAllen Farmers Market will be held at the McAllen Public Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is held every Saturday. The library is located at 4001 N. 23rd St. For more information visit mcallenfarmersmarket.com.

February 24 – The Fourth Annual South Texas Irish Fest will be held from 12 to 7 p.m. at the Cambria Hotel at McAllen Convention Center (701 S. Ware Rd.). There will be a vendor market, featured dishes and drinks, whiskey tasting, all-day entertainment, pop-up exhibits, and other activities. February 24 – The 4th Annual Rockabilly Rumble will be held at 5x5 Brewing Co. from 12 to 11 p.m. Along with the car show, there will be a pin-up contest, entertainment by Gatos Locos, and an award for the best dressed couple (Rockabilly, 40, 50s era). There will also be food, great drinks, door prizes, and automotive vendors. 5x5 Brewing Co. is located at 801 Bryan Rd. in Mission.

February 24 – The Men and Women of A-Chord will perform at 6:30 p.m. at Alamo Rec Veh RV Park, 1320 W. Frontage Rd, in Alamo. Tickets are $8. Call (956) 787-8221 for more information.
